Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not a legal requirement, however it is a wise precaution to take out a travel insurance policy if you are intending to go abroad. Not only does this insure your baggage and valuables against theft or loss, but provides medical and legal expenses cover should you require it.

In the past, the majority of travellers purchased their insurance through travel agents as part of booking their holiday. You are not obliged to purchase cover from your travel agents and it is illegal for them to penalize you if you don't. Travel agents rarely offer the cheapest insurance deals, and there are now literally hundreds of insurers you can choose from.
